Expand your reading goals this year
Pagebound's points & badges provide a built-in dopamine boost to make reading (already rewarding on its own) even more fun.
More than half of Pagebound users want to read more in 2026 than 2025:
The majority set a goal between 1 and 40 books. For some, 1 serves as a placeholder to avoid unnecessary competition and pressure. For others, just getting back into reading, 10 is a stretch goal. Our most prolific readers and trackers, 2% of Pagebound users, set a goal above 150 books.
In addition to the Yearly Reading Goal, Pagebound Quests can help motivate you to read more and push you out of your comfort zone. The more books you read in a Quest, the higher badge tier you’ll earn.
Since Main Quests are meant to be evergreen challenges that take years to complete, we just rolled out additional badge tiers. Main Quests with 35 books now have a platinum badge. Sapphire is available at 45, Emerald at 55, and Ruby at 65 books. Set a personal goal for yourself, and show off how well read you are in a niche!
Our gemstone badges are rare, and we’re excited to see more readers earn them 👀
There is some strategy involved in whether you want to join fewer Quests and focus on moving up the tiers, or if you’re tempted by the wide variety. There are now 93 Quests on Pagebound across and overlapping many genres—browse them all here.
Some of our favorites include Mermaids After Dark, Botanical Horror, and Supporting Women’s Wrongs.
Here’s to 2026 being your best reading year yet 🔮

For me I was so close to my goal for last year but I didn't quite make it so I'm going to keep it the same. I was 10 books away from my goal
Thanks to a post by a Book Tuber (Gavin Reads It All) I found Pagebound at the start of 2026. While I'm remaining loyal to The Storygraph (only a year or so there), I love the quests and badges here. I don't really interact with online discussions compared to do many these days (just the odd random post occasionally) - first The Storygraph and now Pagebound are a way for me to keep a record of what I've read, with graphics providing my dopamine hit not"likes".
