I stopped using Goodreads a long time ago because I don't like how everything is so Amazon. Then I switched to a few other kinds and then just kind of stopped tracking what I read for a while. I've been using Pagebound now for about a month and omg, it's been the BEST!!! It's so fun. I think what I like the most is how there aren't too many frills. I feel like it's so much easier to talk to people about the books that I'm reading and see what other's are reading. I love it so much. Thank you for literally creating one of the most perfect reading tracking webpages!

I can't wait to check this out! I feel like I express to my partner all the time that I miss being in an English class room to discuss books in this very certain way. This is the outlet I need!

Just joints this app a few days ago an love it! Feels as cosy and kind as the book forum communities in the 00’s, before smart phones.

I cannot resonate with this more. It's great to see fellow women founders on their way to success. I love that you bootstrapped this and have full control over the product. Also props for not integrating AI - don't let the hype change your mind, there is no need for AI in product that caters to community of readers.

I am doing pretty much the same with my product and it's tough to compete with AI hype - but it's so refreshing and fulfilling to work on something that has purpose and it's created with hearth - without chasing money for investors.

Best of luck on this journey. I have tried your app in browser before - I am gonna go download the ios app now.

This made my librarian-heart smile.. As a bookbinder and true lover of books, I’m so happy I read this post.. It reminded me of the quiet magic of libraries, those sacred rooms where stories sit patiently until we find them, and where the world opens one page at a time..

If you’re ever interested in a little companion piece, I wrote a reflection I’d love to share: “The Magic of Libraries:

Hope you enjoy it as much as I loved reading your story here..

This sounds great! I love talking about books I’m reading, but I also do not enjoy the TBR of a book club. I’m too eclectic a reader. I want to read what I want and when I want. It’s the reader’s bill of rights! lol.

Thank you so very much for creating your incredible app. I’ve been there only for a few days now and am HOOKED! It’s so good to be able to stop in the middle of reading a book to share thoughts with likeminded folks. Such a warm community.

I can finally leave Goodreads in peace. I was using Storygraph alongisde all the time, which I did not enjoy at all. I can only hope more beautiful talented people like you guys make an alternative to the cursed Instagram too.

May your pillows always be cold and cozy!

I left goodreads as it stated to feel like a flex over actual enjoyment. Also I don’t ascribe to reading challenges I think they can make reading feel competitive and a losing game.

I’m intrigued. I just created a Pagebound account. But I do love the stats on Storygraph, which I’ve been using for a few years now. My attempt at exporting my Storygraph data failed. Instead of downloading a CSV file, it just opened a page of text in my browser. And I browsed at a few book discussions but didn’t see much. Maybe because it’s still new? If book discussions do become more robust, I can see using this for that, but continuing to use Storygraph primarily. Oh, and is there an app? I couldn’t find a mention of that on the website.

BOOKS ~ have saved my life more than once ~ i developed an obsession for reading as a child because of the life i had to grow up in ~ read “The Journey Part #1” i’ve narrowed down my library quit a bit ~ it was always the biggest expense of any move we did and we did a LOT of it. . . . The one i’m reading now is not for everyone ~ The Power Of NOW by E Tolle ~ living in the PRESENT all day every day . . . . Namaste

Hey there! How do I submit my book to page bound? I have a new title releasing 12/2 and am investing heavily into it, looking for wide adoption. It’s my memoir, chronicling my story through addiction, incarceration, relapse, and redemption. It was written during my last period of incarceration, giving a rare look at growth in real time, with journal entries interwoven between the chapters. I’ve submitted for trade reviews and numerous book contests. This sounds like a wonderful platform!
